#JMDay post: 4. Let's get started! (Unusual sequence)

We are all NEW in planning this whole wedding day #JMDay I think I can consider myself a very hardworking bride-to-be because I have been flipping wedding magazines, browsing through different wedding website, saving up some wedding idea from pinteret, tumblr, google image, instagram every other day, etc & lastly even when I was sleeping, my dream is all about wedding's idea and stuff! How crazy I can be when I came to think of it ;p

Well after years of research and planning on our big day, this is some of my thoughts! It may not b very professional but at least that's all my own opinion. So today I'm gonna share w/ you on how to plan a wedding w/ some simple steps. I know some of my friends around me are getting marry either before me or after me. So guess this will b helpful enough for some of you ;)

Firstly, BUDGET! Sit down w/ ur fiance and talk it all out. Set a budget that both of you can afford & comfortable w/. Then, follow w/ the pointer down below: 

2nd, Venue! It will determine the whole concept & theme of ur wedding. So choose it wisely ;)

Appearance: 

#1 Wedding Dress- Every girl dream for a perfect wedding dress for themselves on their big day. I am obviously one of them! Definitely will get a perfect one!! It can b very challenging in term of choosing the right style, material & details which will match the best w/ the one who standing beside you ;)

#2 Wedding Heel- Finding a comfortable heel is not easy too especially for myself. I have a 6feet tall boyfren and I am only 4feet10' perhaps. I gotta wear high enough to stand beside him but at the same time, feel comfy to wear it the whole day. So, it will b good to have a platform in front :)

#3 Very simple and least accessories will do for me. Choosing veil is also something to learn. And of course, hair and make up are also very important elements in creating the whole look. Don't over-do it especially in make-up because you don't want ppl look at you 1 kind on ur big day. So, look for a good make-up-artist that u trust and made appointment to try it out the make-up and hair doer months ahead!
Ps: Regularly keeping up in doing mask, scrubs, treatment, spa that will help on ur skin.

#4 Ur better half- I guess we don't have any problem in finding a gorgeous suit for Joel. Ur theme color will b determine the color of his tie, corsages, or mayb even boxer?! lol Well, I kind of fancy grey color suit. It looks casual but smart!!
Ps: Some small accessories which you gotta look at on ur man's appearance. Other than that, I guess we are good to go w/ this! 

#5 Wedding Band- Both of us prefer gold and we will have our wedding band custom-made! Nothing fancy and we are ready for this too!Tips: Look for a size bigger than usual for women because u will never know when u got preggor and u still able to wear it ;)
Flower Arrangement:

#6 All kind of Decoration- We will b having basically all DIY craft from church deco, reception table, bouquet, ring bearer, invitation card to car deco. It is more creative and cheaper ever than u can imagine!

#7 Wedding Car- Something that will b memorable on ur wedding day ;) Hummer always my 1st choice!

 

#8 Groomsmen, Bridesmaid, Page boy & Flower girl- You can have as many as you want. But the more you got, the more headache it can b. Groomsmen is pretty much the best friend from the groom while bridesmaid is the closer friend of mine.

Other than this, parent & ur parent-in-law's outfit are equally important too. So, take note of that if you are a perfectionist like me ==

#9 (We are almost there) Wedding Invitation- As much as you want to have everything in, my suggestion would b make it simple and creative. You wouldn't want ppl to just dumb ur invitation card aside after all. So have fun creating an interesting one and make ppl keep ur invitation forever ;p Some said guest list is the most headache part during the whole planning of a wedding but for us, it is kinda easy. It is either we don't have much friend or still early to utter that statement!

Reception:

#10 Reception Venue- As for myself, I would love to have either a beach or garden reception. It is all depend on ur choice but bare in mind of the weather if you wanted to have outdoor reception!

#11 Reception Menu- We haven't decide on the menu but I'm excited because we got Codi. He can gives his precious idea. Both Joel and I are not fancy the typical 9 course meal sitting around a round table w/ the ppl which is not close sometimes. It defects the purpose of celebrating the most joyous moment in ur life. So,  I guess we will b having a free & easy evening.

#12 Reception Programme- FFIL is so helpful in this area. He is thinking to have various type of performances according to how we design the whole programme of our wedding day itself. Live band? Singing? Dancing? Dance floor? Perhaps, we will have it all for our guest to enjoy their evening w/ us!

#13 Wedding Cake / Cup-cake- I'm not sure we will b having this part or not but we will see ;) 

#14 #JMHoneymoon- You can't miss out this important part! We just got our ticket booked for our honeymoon. Superb excited because we are not only going to beaches, but also some city to do some shopping! If you plan well on this part, you will get good deal on the air-fares. If you plan even more well on this part, I think you will definitely have a romantic and awesome honeymoon! haahu...**

#15 Last but not least, enjoy the whole process of it! Laugh it out, let it go & make peace whenever both of you have different opinion. Bring along a relax and open heart to do it. You will never regret if you plan it well, organize it nicely & do it w/ all our heart because it is all worth to have a memorable wedding day!
Ps: Remember, don't become a bridezilla!

I think I have covered most of the thing for a wedding / reception. In fact, there is more details to look in which I don't think I can mention it all out here. The rest of the details, you have to observe, discover and do it! We hope that you will have fun during ur wedding progress like we do :)
