#JMHome post: 10. How to set up & organize a small kitchen like ours ;)

As I mentioned about waiting our Wedding Gift's parcel to sampai yesterday & haven't even sampai until now? I called Fedex and they said their deliver agent gonna call me and sort it out by today. Hopefully I can get it la! Otherwise you will b seeing me talking about it tomorrow again LOL

Anyway, today I am going to share w/ you about my Kitchen. I am not complaining or so in fact I am grateful that I have a kitchen of my own! It's just that our kitchen is slightly small for me for my opinion. It is a dry kitchen of course full w/ basic need & necessary stuff, 所谓 麻雀虽小五丈齐全 but still I feel it can b bigger. Next target for us is to extend our kitchen, to have a dry & wet kitchen! Everything is fairy new to us when it come to renovation this word. Of course same goes to Kitchen Cabinet, Organization, Partition, Utensil, how to have a small pantry out of the small kitchen? all those... I love to #google / #youtube / #pinteret when I need some references on certain subject. So I seriously get so much idea on how to organize a kitchen!

1st thing you wanna do it to measure ur existence kitchen size so that you can go to any of the designer and quote a price. We do exactly the same and we finally set our mind on a fairy good deal yet good quality & nice design's company just outside of our house. So convenient. After I told the designer roughly what I want and she came out w/ this 3D drawing. Not bad tho after all the hassle!

After viewing on the design, place our deposit & we are good to go. It took approximately 2-3weeks to build the cabinet (not at peak season). They will deliver to your door step and assemble it for you of course. Before that, the designer gotta go to your house to measure the exact measurement*

After we make our decision on the design / style of our kitchen cabinet, next would b looking for kitchen hoods & basin so that you can give the exact measurement to your builder because it is attached w/ the kitchen cabinet obviously! We found ours at Home Expo w/ a very good deal that comes w/ the basin ;)

The assembling begin!

Our kitchen is not big but it took like 3days to assemble it all..

The kitchen top that Joel choose ;)

The very hardworking worker that helped us in building our cabinet

We are almost there...

While you are choosing the material of your kitchen cabinet, please let your designer know how many socket point that you want and they will leave the space. They will also advice you how many socket point is needed but of course you can go according to how you want it to b.

Our designer designed a build-in-space for our fridge and she even think of if we wanted to change to a bigger one, she leaves a space for it too.

As you can see we have like "leg" for each of the cabinet. This is specially requested by Joel so that it is easier for us to clean the floor especially when you deep fry in the kitchen and the whole floor will b superb oily, mop the floor doesn't help much as how we experienced it. You gotta wash the floor w/ hot water and wipe it w/ clean clothe.

So eventually if your cabinet is attaching w/ the floor, if you want to deep clean the floor, your cabinet will damage after all by mopping and mopping w/ water especially for some of us who love wooden cabinet so much. It doesn't help at all ;( So be mindful of that!

It will b helpful if you all have the measurement

It is covered perfectly by the cabinet to hide the pipping system :)
Viola, our kitchen cabinet is ready after all the hard-work!

Now the fun part begin which is organizing it. I have few tips to help you to organize your cabinet ;)

#1 If you don't have a pantry, make sure of what you have. I think I will get Joel to made this for me to keep all the can food.

#2 Don't you think this is so useful!

#3 This is absolutely a great idea! How not to use it in my cabinet? So organize!

#4 Saving space is very important especially when you have limited space!

#5 Like this... Absolutely lovely idea!

#6 A drawer specially dedicated for medicine. How about that?

#7 I love this!

#8 Organizing a fridge is knowledge too!

#9 I really like to open to a very organize fridge! I will keep mine as clean & organize as I could!

#10 Cleaning stuff is fairy important too!

#11 Don't chu like this? Omggg colorful bowl, plate & mug is my weakness!

#12 I am gonna specially dedicate a space for my baking utensil like this!

#13 or even to this ;)

All these gonna happen in my little tiny kitchen ;) I always believe in creating more spacing w/ creative idea so that I can make full use of every inch it! As time goes by, I will update more on our kitchen :) Till then xx

#JMHome post: 9. Organizing Bookshelves, Glass Cabinet & Guest's Bathroom ;)

I took a day off for myself today as I have been out for the rest of the week. I need some time alone to do whatever that I like such as #youtube #RunningMan, trying different hair-style & pampering session ;) All in all, I am actually waiting for our 3rd batch Wedding Gift's parcel to reach later on according to the delivery schedule.

Since I am free, I might as well update what I have been hook up with. Speaking of the new house, it is now into organizing stage after the renovation part. Well, not much home decor that I can get in KK. Other than eyeing & envying some #youtuber's home decor & organization, I have to come out w/ my own idea.
I was looking some idea for how to organize bookshelves and I came across w/ this.

So here's my version of bookshelves. I am yet to get some boxes and play around w/ it. Since I have made most of the decision of how I want the whole house to b, Joel gave his input of his office which he doesn't want to b all white. I respected his "voice" and immediately thought of separate the room into 2 colors which is Black & White. His side will b exactly all black while mine will b all white including the furniture. Some empty space that you notice is for Joel to put whatever he feels like it while the rest I arranged it according to how I like ;p Such a good wife-to-be* I did put his most significant trophy at his shelves which is the Best-Goal-Keeper, the Most-Valuable-Player & the 1st Runner up Trophy when he got his MVP address.
Side note: Actually he kept loads of loads of the metal one, trophy one in a box but I throw it all away... Wasting space & no point to keep it. Joel do agreed on this part tho ;p

One of the highlight of my bookshelves. Brought this over from my old apartment & I still love it very much!

The lil wine bottle that we kept over the years. Not particularly collecting it tho.. that's y it explained how little we have. Well, might pick up some if we happen to see them.

Other than bookshelves, I just swing over to our room and did some organization too. Just randomly pick* When I start organize it only I realized I have got plenty of camera such as 2 different size of Polaroids, a Princess Diana Camera, an Old Vintage Polaroid Camera like below:

&&& I also got plenty of iPod Nano, iPod Shuffle, iPod Touch & iPad Mini. Opppiesss.....

Sometime I seriously don't understand why do I need that much of gadgets??!!!!

2 baskets that full of toiletry & flowers to spice up the whole atmosphere.

Some of you might like to collect the soap or shampoo from the hotel that you used to stay. Well, we r too! But often I just put it aside or throw it away after some time. After browsing through #Pinteret, I found an awesome idea which is to store it in a glass jar and it serves a purpose of letting our guest to use it when they visiting us ;) How great is that!

Below are some of the ideas for organizing your bathroom which I found in #Pinterest:

#1 I wanted to do this since I got few extra wall shelves but I can't do it myself. So gonna wait till Joel is free ;)

#2 This is also one of a good idea for storage purposes. You can just hand made it and hang it behind your basin cabinet.

#3 Another useful DIY organizing idea to keep your hair dryer & curler.

#4 I have been using this idea on my Vanity's drawer. I think I will b doing my hair most of them time there so it is easier for my to excess ;)

#5 Since we have got 2 Guest's bathroom so this will b a simpler way to cater our guest's need.

#6 or this will be great too ;)

#7 I personally like this but I guess it will taken up some space if your bathroom is small.

All in all, I love organizing & I love changing my room setting very often! and now I have got a whole house to organize, I can change to however I like anytime I want! I think I am a organizing freak LOL

Starting from next CNY onward, we gotta separate our time to Sandakan & Tawau. Not easy :(Today's post will b everything in one. So be aware it will b a long post tho!

2013, it has been a great year for me. Other than I found myself a great man and happily engaged, I also finally make up my mind to step out from my comfort zone to try out something kind of challenging for me. But first of all, let me give thanks for the love of my life, my Fiance of course. I am truly thank God for him throughout the whole 2013. To be exact, 2013 was the 2nd year of us considering not being a long distance relationship that we get to meet each other every single day. As much as I have used to being in LDR, I am still so grateful for having him every moment of 2013. I have to get used of him being nagging, annoying yet loving everyday.

Next would b my Future-Parent-In-Laws who forever so supportive & loving in every day that u can imagine. Their constant talk, love & hug have made so much different in our life. Thank you so much for investing your effort & time in both of our life.

Of course I wouldn't forget my parent who is my strong pillar & support behind me! Backing me up every time when I need them, when I fall. Tho we fight but we make peace and we love again and again!

Another person that I really thank God is Bishop. I thank God that He never forsake him nor leave him in time of difficulty but deliver him through! W/o this strong figure in my life, I won't b who I am today!
Loads more to give thanks in fact! Whatever it is, we blessed by year of 2013. In 2014, we want to save up more, get marry & if it is possible, we want to have babies. Having babies is always what we have planned, so we will see how God lead us in this area ;)

A new business is coming up which is Party Planner. Starting it small tho... But I am glad that I finally have the courage to start it after much consideration.

My goal is to generate income for our family & to support my husband in term of financial part as well as I have my spare time as a housewife which is not tighten down by office hour. Most importantly is I am finally doing what I really want & love.

Details will be furnish soon after everything is settle. I will share our FB & Instagram link here too so that you will get more information.
It is definitely a hectic period for both Joel & I as we are in our midst of wedding, new house renovation, his current job while I am also starting up a new business as well as trying to look for part-time job. Waaoo...... Sound to challenging & tiring and yet fulfilling!

Yesterday trying my best to complete our wedding check-list (more on updated). Hopefully we are on track and won't miss out anything ;p
And today I am looking into our #JMHoneymoon's accommodations. Oh ya, we do have some slight changes on our destination due to some issue on Air Asia. But luckily they are helpful enough to change our flight. So now we r heading to 8 places for 3 weeks. We will b starting w/ the most beautiful islands in South East Asia and conquering the shopping heaven follow w/ having a good rest in Chiang Mai to end our whole #JMHoneymoon trip ;) Speaking about hotels, we r still debating some hotels between Boracay & Chiang Mai. The rest r all SET!!!

Life has been superb eventful!! Counting down another 3 weeks to go back to Tawau and another 1month for Mother&Daughter's Bachelor Trip. Hopefully we will b able to start our business by April :) May God's strength & wisdom is upon us! xx
