#JMDay post 15: Preparation of #JMDay

53days ago, I was married to the love of my life, my soul-mate, my best friend & my one and only!
(Only have the time to sit down and journal down the process of #JMDay ;) Where am I gonna start about #JMDay? Guess I will start on the #JMWeddingeve itself. We have a family dinner a night before. All these organized by the parent-in-law which I don't need to worry about it.

明天我要嫁给你啦!A shoot that taken a day before we get married <3 br="" nbsp="">
After he sent me back to hotel, he gave me this. A love letter before I changed my name to Michelle Thien. A strong assurance and word of encouragement from my husband! (Advise 1 for those who are getting married- We personally think this is the least you can do for each other before getting marrried and how sweet is it to receive one from your loved one after a loooong tiring day, right?)

Wearing his shirt as my PJ on the night before! For me, it is perfect to complete our #JMWeddingeve!

#JMDay simply mean Joel & Michelle's Day. It was happened on 5th July, 3pm at All Saints' Cathedral. We don't have any “过门” or “接新娘”。I am thankful that from the time I opened up my eye till the wedding, I pretty much prepared mentally & physically simply because I have got plenty of time to get myself ready unlike most of any other wedding that the bride & the rest have to get up as early as 4am to get ready.

Well for me, I managed to sleep well, eat well and get ready well. Remembered I woke up the 1st among all and sitting at the couch, drinking the Chicken Essence that prepared by Jia Gung (Advise 2- Chicken Essence is what you need on your wedding day to boost up your energy and keep you focus & tired free) & recalling back all those up & down moment w/ Joel Thien. Being able to sit down quietly & alone w/ myself only, I am grateful & luxury enough to do that.
After that, went to have a King-breakfast w/ my ladies.

Next, of course it is time to do whatever that needed to b done. Speaking of getting ready, I also managed to do my body scrubs, body mask, hair mask all those fun good stuff that a bride needed ;) Thankfully I have seriously plenty of time to do that! Make up artist, photographer & videographer came on time to set up too.
Few things that I personally love about my look:
1. Obviously my hand-made wedding dress. The quality is far better than I expect & even though I do need to do some changes on it but it looks pretty much gorgeous!
2. A heart shape gold earring that prepared by my mother-in-law which I absolutely love it!
3. My wedding heel that I have been eyeing for so long and finally become the best heel I could ever wanted. Extremely comfortable & the color, pattern matches my dress and accessories.
4. MW did a good job on my face and hair even after the wedding, loads of ppl came and gave good comment about it!
5. I prefer to have a clean look. Nothing fancy. So that's why I only have a pair of earring. For me, hair must b all tie up in order to have the clean look.

"As we walk this journey from beginning to end, I am glad I have my true love and best friend! I love you, Michie 05/07/2014

Ring pillow is too mainstream for us therefore we have Ring box. How about that?

Oh, a lil gift that we prepared for our bridesmates:

While I am busying like a busy-bee, Joel Thien still managed to go to airport to pick up some friends, went back to our new house to settle some stuff & also to church to see the flower arrangement too (sound so free ;p)
My personal touch for Joel:
1. Embroidered our initial & our wedding date on his wedding shirt which he personally love it.
2. My wedding gift for Joel was the JM hand-made-cross-stitch Cuff-link.
3. Matching socks for all the groomsmen*
4. How can I forget to embroid a J on his tie?
5. My love note for Joel and he choose to read it on #JMDay itself.

My father-in-law showing off his tie as gift from us.

Of course it is my idea to embroidered "Father of Groom & Bride" for both our fathers ;)

Daddy like a big boss waving his hand.

Of course cannot forget both my mothers. I choose their matching dresses during our bachelor trip to SG.

Okay, I realized that only the preparation is long enough for me to write & for you to read. So I guess I shall continue #JMWeddingceremony, #JMReception & #JMTeaceremony in a separate entry, shall we? xx
